If you, like me, are an Apple fan since a long time, you may have owned many i-Products. Some of them may have been lost, stolen, gifted or still in use. Do you remember about all of them? Do you have a list of your Apple devices?
If you have been diligent you may have registered these products, Mac Books, iPod, iPhones, iMacs or iPads in the Apple webpage to check they guarantee status or to submit a request for support.
Did you ever wanted to have a full list of your Apple Registered Products? Did you ever noticed that logging into the Apple Support there is no way to obtain such list?
Now our wish has been fulfilled! Apple has just inaugurated a new support page called My Support Profile that among the usual support services we have been used to see is listing as well the brand new ‘Product Pane’ where it’s possible to register, list, delete and give nicknames to all of your Apple product!
When I’ll be 90 years old who knows how many devices I’ll have listed?
Maybe this is a new advertising strategy that will lead contests between people to demonstrate their fidelity to Apple!

Is there anyway to locate a stolen Mac? I did not lowjack it. I do have the serial number and it is registered? I need help bad. Thanks so much.
What to do if your Mac/iPhone/iPad is stolen:
If they are honest enough will hand the Mac to the police that will contact you for the return.
Good luck, you need it!
Now with the release of Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 and the introduction of the new service iCloud by Apple http://www.icloud.com it is possible to sing up to the ‘Find My Mac’ service.
After the setup of iCloud services from the ‘System Preferences’ you can then log into http://www.icloud.com and track the position of your Mac and all your iOS devices that have been associated to your iCloud profile (log in with your Apple ID).
Thank You Sir!
I really had a hard time finding all my registered products by myself. I had an apple tech help me set everything I owned up, but it wasn’t easy navigating the apple site to find it. Do they make an app that takes you straight to that page?
Thanks again for all your help!
Kirk
Hi Kirk, I’m not aware of any iOS App to consult the Apple support Profile, by the way you can use safari to create a link to that specific page of the ‘desktop’ of your iPad or iPhone.
Thanks! I had stumbled upon this by accident months ago and no amount of scouring Apple’s website was helping me find it again.
please is there a way to find a stolen ipod and find the serial number from a different computer because i just foun out i need a serial number but my laptop and computer is broken and i just got a new alienware laptop plz help
Hi Adam
I don’t have a precise reply to your question because there is not a straight forward procedure to retrieve the serial number of a device that you cannot demonstrate to Apple that you own. Do to demonstrate it you should have the original box, but in such case you would find the serial number in there.
In your shoes the last try I would make is to connected the hard-drive of your broken computer (that supposedly was synching the iPod to its copy of iTunes), to another computer then looking in the iTunes folder reading the various configuration files (usually in XML format) I try to see if the serial number of the iPod is referred anywhere there.
I hope this can be of a little bit of help
Thanks for posting

hey mate i have a big problem , i registered my macbook air and ipod nano but i dont remember with which apple id , and when i try to add them system said they already registered , can u help me please
Hi Benny,
Usually when you register an item on Apple’s website you receive a confirmation message by email.
You could try to search in your old emails to see if you have such message then you’ll understand what Apple ID you’ve used to register the devices then try to recover the password from Apple’s website.
It can be useful to keep in mind that most of the Apple ID are email addresses so if you own multiple email addresses you could try to use all of them as an Apple ID on the Apple’s website an try the password recovery procedure with each of them and see which one is going through, and you’ll understand which of your email address you have used as Apple ID (if that is the case).
Another try you can make, the last that come to my mind, and probably the first you should try, is to call Apple assistance, tell them the serial number of one of the devices that you registered with the forgot Apple ID and ask the support to tell you which identification they are associated with. That worked for me in the past.
I wish that will come of any help.
Cheers
Cool.
Thanks Marco !
how do i retrieve my serials from my apple id account?
You need to have them registered first.
You are supposed to associate the serial numbers of your Apple devices when you buy them, then you can use the site as lifetime database.
My iPod Touch 2g was stolen, so I need help trying to locate it. But, I do not have the serial number for it. Is there anyway I can find the serial number on iTunes? I have a MacBook Pro.
i really like the idea of having all my apple stuff together but it looks like apple won’t show any macs over 5 years old and won’t let you register them either. granted they are long off warranty but still
My ipod was stolen (along with my purse) and when I went on to apple.com it wasn’t listed among my products. If they reset the factory settings is there a chance it was removed from my list? I don’t know what to do at this point. I’ve had it 3 years, so I know the box is long gone.
The only way your iPod could be listed on your support profile on Apple’s website is if you have registered it manually using the serial number that you can find on the devices itself (but it’s stolen) or in the box (but it’s gone[?]).
Just wanted to thank you for the link to this page. I scoured the apple site for ages before going old Google sent me to you. Cheers!
Hi Marco,
I forgot my Macbook Pro at Heathrow Airport (Security point).
The “Lost and Found” service people are asking me for the serial number – more reliable than the username apparently).
I don’t have it – I don’t have the box anymore and threw the receipt. And I didn’t register it on “My Apple Profile”.
Is there any way to retrieve it from i-tunes? I bought a lot of music and I’m wondering if they could have stored my laptop details in their system… (?)
Thank you in advance for your answer!
David
Hi David,
I am really sorry to hear that!!
very unfortunate event.
The only way I can think you can retrieve the serial number is if you have activated iCloud and the Find My Mac option…. then logging in iCloud.com with your Apple ID should provide you some information about your computer.
That the only thing I can think of.
Good luck
Marco
Thanks for the support page tip. I have many times
thought there should be just such an Apple support page where I could see my devices.
Thanks !
Hi There,
i would like to ask as I bought my iPhone 4 from some store (complete with everything box included). but when i tried registering the serial number to my apple account it shows that the serial is already registered to another account. what can i do with this? any solutions. thanks.
regards,
Bon
I guess that the phone has been used before, and who sold it to you didn’t mention it…
BTW If you have the purchase receipt you can call Apple and provide them the proof of purchase, and they should remove the registration rom the previous owner and move it to yourself.
Dear MacroMC,
I’ve purchased a new iPod touch 4G 8GB last week. The guy at the store opened the box (it was still sealed well) and do the first-time registration so I can use it immediately. Then, I registered it myself onto ASP but I can’t since ASP said that the iPod touch had been registered to another Apple ID. Its warranty was to expire in January 2013, weird isn’t it ?
Then, I went back to the store and they gave me an address of Apple Authorized Service Provider. I emailed the AASP, they replied that I had a problematic unit. They also said that they can’t remove the previous registration (I’ve attached the proof of purchase) since the unit was a property of somebody else (they got another POP from somebody else dated back to 4th January 2013). They even blamed me for a misuse (stealing) and voided my warranty claim.
I became suspicious that my new iPod touch was a used & stolen unit from another user which then re-boxed and resealed. I’m afraid that I might be sued in the future for stealing someone’s ipod Touch. That’s why I need to be able to register the product onto ASP immediately.
Thanks very much MacroMC
Hi Christopher.
what I would do is to return the iPod to who sold you.
If they are dealing with second-hand stuff (without making the customer aware) they have to be blamed.
You have the communication from Apple that says it’s registered, therefore your seller cannot refuse to refund or replace the item (well, it all depends on the local laws I guess…)
How do I PRINT the list of registered product which I need for insurance purposes.
